how do you know when you are done having babies?

I'm having my third boy in December, but apart me still wants to try for a girl. I have days where I'm fine with just the 3 and think I'm done but then other days I still want one more baby. Lol! A big part of me doesn't want to have another baby because I never really get a positive reaction from my parents whenever I announce I'm having a baby. I know it shouldnt matter what they think because I'm an adult but it would be nice if they were excited for me.

Hubs and I talked about it before we even had our first and decided 2 is the number for us no matter what we get (girl/girl, boy/boy, girl/boy). We find it stressful at times with one so we know we could never handle more than 2. We also want to be able to provide our 2 with the best of the best and be able to enjoy holidays the 4 of us, etc. We also firmly believe that having 2 kids is fair environmentally since they would be replacing us in this already overpopulated world of ours🙄

I'm sure everyone bases their decisions on different things. I thought I was done after 2 boys. Even told my husband a month before finding out about baby #3 that he should get the vasectomy he'd been wanting to get for a while. Then we found out about our surprise baby! Hah. My decision to stop at 2 originally is bc I was 34 and didn't really want to try getting pregnant after 35. Also I just felt really happy with the two we had. I was ready to go back to school and train for a specific type of job. All of that had to be put by the way side for our 3rd, but that's fine. This pregnancy being more difficult than my previous two, I'm very sure this has to be my last little one. Other things that come to mind are the finances involved, my sanity (I keep hearing 3 will push me over the edge, and with a history of depression, that's the last thing I want), and just being conscientious about the world around us, I don't want to add to the population more than I already have. I also want to really be able to focus individually on my kids and it'll be a challenge for me to do that with 3.

I'm kind of in the same boat, but this is my first! I'm not entirely sure I want more than 1, but I'm also not sure if I want a second. My hubby wants only 1, and I see the pros and cons of it. I'd love to adopt as I'm adopted, so that's always a possibility if we decided on another. I guess time will tell, we'll see how we like parenting just 1 for now 😆

You may want to see how you feel after baby is born and give yourself a year rest then come back to the idea of a 4th.

I'm pregnant with my fourth boy. I did the hair test I saw floating around on Facebook, and it told me I'm having 4 boys and no more. So that's how I know I'm done 😂😂😂
