Is it expected to give your baby shower host a "thank you" gift for hosting your shower?

I am so greatful to my friend who is helping me throw my shower for all the stuff she is managing and coordinating! I want to gift her at the end with a small thank you. Is this custom? Has anyone else done this? If so what did you gift?

It's a nice gesture! We got our 3 hostesses those willow tree angels, different for each and a card.

I think it's polite to give a small gift as a thank you. Even just a bottle of wine, a nice candle, a nice scarf/glove set or something just to show your appreciation. I will be getting my 3 friends something for sure!

I'm not having a baby shower (I'll be having a party once baby boy is here and have friends and family come over to celebrate, meet him and eat dinner) and they're not really a thing where I live but I think it's tacky if you wouldn't give your host a little thank you. Maybe a nice card with some wine and chocolates

It's not expected I did it because my aunt did everything for me and I wanted to thank her she not only put it all together but she also gifted me with a lot of amazing things for my son
