Confused

Hi there! I am 26 years old now. But i had an incident 2 years ago when i was 24years old. I was making out with this guy one night. Fyi I never had sexual intercourse in my whole like at that time. But we occasionally just do a little grinding. However that time he was rubbing himself on my area and suddenly i feel like I was poked by a needle and it hurts and started to bleed. But it didnt feel like he penetrated deep inside but why did i bleed? Does that mean i lost my virginity then?.
