pcos help please

I recently found out about the pcos syndrome , I'm going to see a fertility doctor on Monday bc I have a lot of the signs . Then once when I was a child I'm pretty sure a doctor was concerned about I had a lot of testosterone in my body and he had asked if I get weird hairs anywhere I lied bc I was a child and I say no but I really do . That was years ago and now I'm a grown woman married and want to have children . But it's just not happening and I think this is why . Do you guys know if a fertility doctor can help me ? I'm worried she's gonna think I'm crazy since it doesn't run in my family . Or will she even know what I'm talking about .
