Pregnancy test after time limit question 🤔🤔

Is it typical for a pregnancy test to show positive once it's been in the trash over night? When I took it last night I barely saw maybe a VVVFL and then today I happen to see and it's positive. I know they say there is a time limit. Any ladies with this experience that could share? Thanks so much in advance 😃
