My baby is 12 days old today and i am already 2lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight. I gained a total of 24lbs during my pregnancy. I ambreastfeeding but thought it would take much longer than this!

I gained just as much as you. 212# was my original. Gained to 233#. Last weigh in I was down to 218#. I'm nursing, not sleeping as well, and taking care of baby 20 hours almost 24 hours a day.

Me too! I haven't weighed myself yet, but I fit in my jeans that were once tight before pregnancy, now there lose. 😃 my husband said, I've lost a lot of weight and his best friend said the same. I'm not trying AT ALL. I'm just tending to the baby around the clock and I try to get a few bits of food in before he wakes up or another load of laundry that needs to be done. 
PS. I'm breastfeeding 😅

I formula fed and I'm the same. 24lbs is nothing when you think of weight of baby, extra blood volume, boobs, fluid etc. I always aim for 20lbs and I know I will be back to normal weight within 2 weeks

I'm 2.5 weeks post partum and 5lbs below my pre pregnancy weight. I was a healthy weight before pregnancy and gained 22lbs during pregnancy. The first time I weighed myself was 4 days post partum and I was already down to my pre pregnancy weight at 1 week pp I was 5lbs below that and holding steady at that weight now. I never thought it'd come off so quick!

Don't question it!!! 😋🙌🏼 Haha but in reality, it sounds like you gained a perfectly healthy amount of weight during your pregnancy to sustain the growth of your baby, without adding any unnecessary fat to your own body. Most of that weight you gained was probably a combination of the baby's weight, your amniotic fluid, and water weight. Are you breastfeeding? That also helps shed the pounds very fast. Also, taking care of a newborn is a round the clock job, don't forget to feed yourself!

I'm 4 weeks post partum and back down to prepregnancy weight. The only thing that hasn't gone back down is flat tummy and my chest. But I too am only breast feeding and feel like that helped. It does feel nice to be back in my old jeans so soon. I also had a csection, so for anyone that says it takes longer for us to lose weight, it's not true.

This happened to me. I only gained 18lbs during pregnancy and now 3 weeks of EBF and I am 10lbs less than my pre pregnancy weight. Someone told me it should even out again after a few more weeks. I eat as much as I want! It's just the dang EBF sucking the calories out of me. I look fine now but don't want to lose more.
