Placenta abruption
I'm 12 weeks and 4 days today. Yesterday afternoon I started bleeding. Not enough to fill up a pad but every time I went to the bathroom and wipe it was bright red.
I couldn't sleep all night. I was worried. I was still bleeding this morning and I finally got in this morning to see my midwife.
She did an ultrasound and I saw my baby wiggiling around and moving. It even waved at us on the screen. Heart beat was in the 150's.
Midwife said that it looks like my placenta is detaching but that the bleeding wasn't affecting the baby and that it should be ok as long as the bleeding stops (which it has by now).
Has anyone experienced anything like this and had a successful pregnancy? This is my fourth baby and I've never had anything like this happen to me.
