When to tell the parents?

So my husband and I found out Sunday that we're expecting our first child!! I have an appointment this Thursday to confirm the pregnancy with my doctor. I'm not sure how long I can keep this from our parents because we're so excited!

I'm just wondering how long you all waited or are waiting to share the news with your parents?? I already know I'd like to wait to tell everyone else until 12 weeks.

We waited until after the 12 week mark. Mainly just because I felt more comfortable doing it that way. Looking back I'm glad that I did. It was nice having those 12weeks to ourselves and letting the reality of expecting a baby set it.

I peed on the digits stick, it said pregnant (after a few previous faint positives). Hubby snapped a photo and sent it to both sets of parents with a warning that if it gets out, he'll know it's them 😂

Whenever you're comfortable! I didn't find out till I was already 12 weeks, but I told them a few days later. I would've done the same if I was earlier.

I told my mom at 7 weeks and my dad at 10 wks

I told my mom at 5 weeks, told my dad & sisters after my ultrasound at 8 weeks (was afraid my dad couldn't keep the secret). Told my friends at 11 weeks, I'm 13 weeks now...still telling people but it's not a secret anymore lol

We told my folks after I got doc confirmation. There is no way I was going to be able to keep it a secret until my ultra sound. We told both our folks the same weekend. It was a great weight off our shoulders, lol

I told my parents at 9 weeks. I wanted to surprise them with an ultrasound picture so the weekend after my 8 week appointment is when I told them.
