skipping some appointments?

Has anybody skipped a few prenatal appts? My next appointment I'll be 24 weeks and it's to go over my ultrasound and see what's up with the baby. If everything turns out ok After that I'm thinking of opting out of a few just for financial sakes. A damn $30 visit turns into $600 because I have to pay the actual doctor.

Going to the appointments aren't just about baby, they are about you too. You could develope gestational diabetes or preeclampsia very quick, and it could kill you or baby even faster.....they have you come in for a reason, it's not worth the risk.

I don't skip as I don't have to pay I live in canada and I love going to every appointment getting to hear my babies heart beat is the best

I don't skip because also in Canada and don't pay, but I'd probably skip the odd one or bump them a week later every now and again to try and reduce the cost if I did have to pay. That would be pricey.
I'm 35 weeks with no complications so far and I am contemplating bumping my next couple appointments back a tiny bit just so I can chop off one or two appointments of people sticking their fingers up my vagina 😧. They are checking my cervix every week going forward...

I'm sorry your insurance isn't better. Stupid America! I don't and won't ever contemplate skipping appointments. Like already mentioned, things can change rapidly with you or goodness forbid Baby.

im too scared to skip appointments. and i have medical assistance through the state. you should look into it. i havent had to pay for thing ao far and im almost 32 weeks.

your body can change rapidly. i'd hate to miss an appointment and not catch something. my cousin developed preeclampsia in less than a week. you never know what could happen.

I wouldn't skip and appointment at all... paying money is better so you can know what's going on that not know what's going on with your unborn baby.

I wouldn't skip the monthlys, alot can change over the course of a few months. I understand maybe one of the ones where you go every two weeks but at the same time they want you to go because of how far along you are and the bad things that could happen if you don't go. Hearing the heartbeat and checking measurement is important, gotta make sure babe is okay

You should get on Medicaid . It's not too late . I was the same way. I was suppose to pay my doctor 1200 just for the delivery and I'm constantly getting lab corp bills but now that I switched to Medicaid and switched doctors it's 100% free
