should military have to repay?

I honestly don't believe that they should. In my opinion they do not get paid what they should anyway. They should not have to suffer for someone else's mistake. Do you believe they should repay? Why or why not???

No because it was not their decision to give the raise. Does your boss take back your raise years later?  No so they need to cut politicians pay if they need to make up the money.

Sorry I'm a bit naive to this but just reading the small bit of text it does say 'improperly' therefore I'm assuming that for example they were meant to get X amount and they got £10,000 more. If it isn't their money in the first place then yes I do think it should be paid back. Transferring it to my life if I got a tax rebate and I was owed £1000 but received £2000 then I should give the £1000 back. Again as I said I am not very well educated in this subject but that's what I think x

As a military wife, this bothers me to no end. Our servicemen and women make next to nothing. So many military families are very much struggling financially. Having to pay back money because of someone else's mistake is insane to me. I can't even begin to think about the financial toll that's taking on those families. And it's been a decade. Why not just drop it?

Unfortunately that's the way it is. My mother while in the military was overpaid because of someone else mistake. She was forced to pay back every penny which really sucked because she was living paycheck to paycheck.

If it's not rightfully their money then yes it should be paid back. They're over there killing kids who didn't do anything. So the "you shouldn't have to pay for someone else's actions" excuse is irrelevant.
