Does anyone wear tampons during a heavy period that clots?????

TMI question::::::;I'm not a tampon girl, but am willing to transition for wardrobe purposes. But when I get my periods they are super heavy the first 2 days and the clots are unstoppable. 
Do any of y'all successfuly wear tampons while clotting or should I stick to pads?

If it's possible, which tampons do you recommend and how long does the coverage last without leaking?

I use super plus tampons on my heavy days but I usually have to change them every 2-3hrs. I wear a small, thin pad just in case I leak on those days but I almost never do.

I have pretty light periods but i love the u by kotex compact tampons because I could change my tampon twice a day and not leak (obviously i don't actually do that but I've come close on days i get busy and forget) which is nice because for my job i don't always get the chance to stop and pee right away. They are also skinny so you dont really feel them when theyre in and clots arent really an issue from my experience. And they are small so they fit in your purse or pocket which is a plus

I've never been able to wear a tampon during my heavy days. I always leaked, but everyone's idea of "heavy" is different. I'd try it on a day you stay at home or wear a thin pad and a tampon and go from there.
