Yeah I dated a guy with serious mommy issues. His mom wasn't very nurturing and she wasn't around much after his parents divorced so he was a really strong believer in gender roles and women staying at home to take care of their kids all the time.

I think my husband has it.  His mom kicked him out after his step dad had been abusing him. But in our relationship he tends to get mad at me over stuff he can't even explain but when it comes down to it he just wants to be comforted with unconditional love even after he's been an ass. I think it stems from his mom not giving him that unconditional love as a kid. To stay with his abuser then take his side...
