baby shower?!

Is it wrong for me to throw my own baby shower? I have no one to throw it for us. My mom was going to but I told who to invite and what date (just because my husband has that day off) and she freaked out and refuses to throw it now...

I'm doing mine myself. I had my mil ask to throw it but the only reason she does that is because she wants to control everything lol. Baby's name, baby's nursery, babys shower. I just decided to stop talking to her about the baby and do it on my own, I'm not ashamed either!

I wish I threw my own one for my first baby. My friend who threw it didn't send out invites until 3 or 4 days before 😩 but she told me she sent them 2 weeks in advance. Only 3 people came... this time my sister in law is throwing me one and I'm being a lot more hands on haha.

Not to worry. Many people host their own. And couples showers are fairly common now too. Celebrate that precious life inside of you! Do it up your way and have a great time.

I'm hosting my own and it's a couples shower. Kids have to be there because everyone on my side of the family has so many of them. I wanted it to be adults only so we can relax and not have to worry about the kids breaking anything but there's nothing I can say.

I'm lucky. I wasn't sure how we were going to do it since my best friend/godmother to our baby is going to be out of country starting Jan. But my husband and I go to church and one of the ladies offered to throw one for us. But I don't think there is anything wrong with throwing your own.
