delivering in different state 😿

So just wanted to ask if any of you ladies have given birth in a different state than your family and was it difficult. This is my first baby and I really want my mom in the room with my boyfriend and myself. I'm so scared she will miss it. My boyfriend said I could go home at 32 weeks when my shower is and stay there to have the baby and he will come there. But I don't think that's possible. And in my mind not fair to him since this is OUR child and it wouldn't be fair of him to potentially miss her being born. I'm from Pittsburgh PA and his job is taking him to Waynesboro MS next week. I'm 20 weeks. Any tips or personal experience would be so helpful!
