Teachers in Texas

Is there any ladies who teach in the state of Texas? if so how did you become a teacher or what are the steps to take? because I have a Bachelor's in social services and was thinking of pursuing teaching (preferably elementary) as a career and would like to know what all it takes. Thanks! :)
