vaginal discomfort

Is anyone else experiencing vaginal discomfort? This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if this is normal. I'm getting a sharp pain in my clitoris area and it's so uncomfortable to sit and lay down. I am going to see my doctor today but was just curious to see if it might be a normal experience.
