No spicy food while pregnant.
The other day while visiting my mother, she decided to order pizza along with some chicken wings which she knows I love. One of my sister was there and heard when I told my mom to order spicy chicken wings. (Not super spicy, they were mild) then my sister starts to ask me why I'm eating spicy food and that she heard it makes the baby come out with rashes or come out with red skin because I'm eating spicy food.... it made me think so I decided to do some research and I didn't read anything where it said it affects the baby. We're Hispanic and Hispanic people believe in A LOT of things. I don't know where she got his from?
I know the baby eats what I eat, I know the baby gets its nutrients from me. But where did she get that my baby will come out red because I'm eating spicy food? Mind you, I do not eat spicy food everyday.
I just want to add that I did not believe her and found her ignorant for believing such thing. She's a medical assistant and wants to come and put her 2 cents in. Plus, I sort of felt judged by how she said it. Like I'm a bad mom for eating spicy food.
