ex boyfriend going through break up 😭

So my 8 month boyfriend just broke up with me like 3 days ago and today is his birthday i really did love this guy he broke up with me because supposedly he said he was really stressed with school and work and couldn't handle a relationship at the moment i told him we could work around our schedules but i guess he didn't want that because he said that he didn't want to do that to be. He told me he loved me that he wouldn't talk to another girl he would come back to me he also told me not to take him off my social media? I don't understand why? But today is his birthday does he deserve a happy birthday text???
