I have endometriosis, and it can suck...anyone else?

So I was diagnosed with endometriosis about 4 years ago. Some periods are better than others. Sometimes I feel fine minor cramping, you know usual periods. Then there are times in which it's crippling and I can't help but cry and curl into a ball and dot know what to do. Pain meds don't work and hot baths don't work all the time. Anyone else have this problem and have found ways to coup wish the pain or found ways to relive it?

I found that frozen ice packs work for me, it doesn't take all the pain away but it numbs the pain enough for me to be able to sleep through the cramping.

Ah man! I'm sorry! I got diagnosed when I was really young, i'm going on 18 years of horrible periods. In my country we have a pain killer called 'Nurofen-Period Pain' its the only pain killer I take that helps with the pain. I also have a crazy strict diet, no junk and no sugar. I also dont eat any meat what so ever and ear all the green vegerables. And getting into a good exercise routine. I also have to take progesterone, on a day to day basis I use a cream, if it gets really bad then my doc will perscribe provera for a few weeks. I hope this helps, but doing all these things really make a difference. I would rather be physically comfortable than indulge in a guilty pleasure.

How do they check for endometriosis?? Sorry just had to ask I got transvaginal ultrasound exam and I was wondering could they know that way? How did you get diagnosed?
