Do you buy things off of your registry lol

So my shower is in late January and invites are going out soon with registry information  (early due to the holidays) but occasionally I see a price drop alert or I just really want to buy something for my son (I've had so much restraint!!!) So I nab it. Not the more expensive stuff lol. Anyone else?!

Of course! If you have the money and it's something you need, buy it. I firmly believe that it is our responsibility to provide for our children, anything we receive as gifts is bonus and we shouldn't expect anything from anyone. If you need it, buy it.

Yes!  If you are registered at babies r us you get 10% back from all the items purchased from the registry even if you  purchased the items yourself. So sometime after my due date I will get back $ on a gift card just from all the purchases made off my registry.  I made a registry for that reason as I plan on buying everything myself as I am not having a shower.

Coming from a second timer I've started buying stuff. If we have a shower and get repeats, I can return them and get a gift card for something else I really need.

We've bought the things we wanted that target(where we're registered) doesn't have. Hold off on getting anything from target until after the shower in January

I would go for it, my shower is on Nov. 13th & no one has purchased anything off of my registry (I've had 30 people RSVP that they're coming), people will make things for the baby (my Aunt, cousin, & Mom have all made blankets) or they'll buy what THEY think is cute/useful, u might as well buy what u like especially if it's a good deal :)

Yup. Then I just go back and take off the stuff I've bought as I go. I knew no one would buy and send us anything  (we live half way across the world) so really the registry was more of a checklist than anything
