hiccups, read something scary 😕
This is what I read that's worried me: "Hiccups are typically a normal reflex. But in rare cases, especially in later pregnancy, they may signal a cord problem. Umbilical cord compression or prolapse, when the blood and oxygen supply slows or is cut off from the fetus, typically happens in the last weeks of pregnancy or during childbirth. It’s important to note that after week 32, you shouldn’t experience fetal hiccups every day. Contact your doctor if your baby continues to hiccup daily after this point, with the episodes lasting over 15 minutes. Also let your doctor know if your baby has three or more series of hiccups in a day."
I've been feeling her have them everyday sometimes multiple times a day and I'm 36wks. Should I be concerned, has anyone experienced this and has any issues? I guess I'll start timing them..
