Being Induced At Night?

Has anyone been scheduled for an induction at night? I was told yesterday that I am being scheduled to be induced today at 5pm. My mom and grandma thought that that was very strange. I was also told that my cervix is softened yet still closed.

How long did your induction take? And if you also had a closed cervix, did it make things more complicated? Also, how can I keep relaxed until I go in? I struggle with High BP so I am worried that it will spike because I am anxious about being induced.
