repeat anatomy scan and now high risk???!

Question

I had to do a second anantomy scan. They wouldn't tell me why, but on the paper it said re-evaluate placenta. When I sat down to get my scan done, the tech asked me if I had seen a specialist yet. Umm no... The doctor called me today and said that she couldn't discuss it over the phone, but she made me an appointment at the specialist office first thing Monday morning. She said that the baby's measurements were good. So I'm racking my brain!!! Anyone have this happen to them?

If you put on your HIPPA paperwork that they couldn't say anything over the phone or voicemail that could be why they aren't telling you. Praying all is well.

Ugh that's so frustrating and stressful, I'd rather know over the phone than spend more time worrying and not sleeping until they decide to tell you in person. I hope for you that it's nothing and they are just double checking. Many times it can be nothing but hard to get certain measurements or pictures right the first time.

If measurement are good and they didn't mention anything, it ay just be anterior or previa placenta. Don't panic, your baby is well. :)

I had to have a second anatomy scan for a little placenta previa and some kidney measurements they wanted to track - i am already High risk and they told me about the issue at my first scan, but i was still worried- however by my second anatomy scan 4 weeks later both issues are looking better!  Try not to stress, if it was an emergency they'd tell you right away!! It's probably something they just want to keep an eye on :) good luck!

They had me do a second, they thought the head was small.  Everything checked out okay.  I've heard a lot of doctors send for a second opinion, lately.

They did that to me when they did the Afp test and I came back with high levels. They said the baby could have spina bifida but I went in did the ultrasound and nothing was wrong, and my baby boy was normal. Don't worry too much it's mostly a precaution.

Thanks guys! Trying to stay positive!! I'm thinking it's probably placenta previa. She mentioned the baby being transverse and frank breeched. I read that this is common with previa. Also she told me that placenta by under the baby's head. I'm pretty sure it's susposed to be high up.
