Recovery time from a laparoscopy

Hi ladies! I am just curious if any of you have had this done and what your recovery experience was. I have to have one done to find out what this 2cm growth is on the outside of my uterus and I'm a little nervous. I'm just trying to figure out a good length of time to take from work. My job is pretty physical, I'm a line cook. I'm always moving and picking up 40-50 lb. pots and a lot of bending over to clean or lift things. My doctor told me 48 hours I could go back but that honestly seems too soon. I appreciate any responses!
