ripped condom

Last night my boy and I did it and half way through, the condom ripped because my vagina wasn't  lubricated enough but there was no cum or anything. As he was inserting it slowly the condom popped and he took it out straight away and I'm afraid of something else like pre cum. I am on BC Alysena 28 but it's not that strong. It's the last strongest BCP. Should I take the ECP? Just to be sure?
