It's safe. There is some confusion surrounding it but I did a LOT of digging and there is nothing contraindicating it's ingestion. I made a lot and bought a lot during my first trimester as it helped settle my morning sickness a little. There is a train of thought that the healthy bacteria in fermented foods actually combats ms in pregnancy. My Dr said it was safe but laughed at me wanting to try it at all.
