Spotting&bleeding for over 2 weeks since stopping vitex! Wtff!

I took vitex for 3 months. Two weeks ago I stopped taking vitex cold turkey. And ever since then I started having spotting which then turned into bleeding like a period. It just now started getting more of a medium flow with clots. And while I was on the vitex my periods were very light and didn't get heavy at all like it usually would and didn't have any clots like normal. So I'm wondering if this is a buildup from my periods the past 3 months while I was on vitex or if it's from quitting the vitex and if that's why I've been bleeding for like 3 weeks. Everything was normal until I stopped the vitex.
