when to tell work

When should I tell my work I'm pregnant? I'm sure if I tell my coworkers it'll get to my bosses since it's a small dental office. I mean there's only like 9 of us. We all only work 3 1/2 days a week so we don't get any benifites or anything. And appointments are never an issues, for anything I just tell the other assistants I won't be there during that time. But I also have a week day off so I can always go then. And they pretty much don't even care if I'm there or not just as long as they have an assistant, and just working it around the other two assistants because obviously I'll be taking at least a month off. So do you think it's even necessary to bring it up to my bosses?

I work in a super tiny office and told my boss around 14w. But we're very close. Since it's a small office, you really need to use your judgment. You want to make sure that they have plenty of time to plan but also you don't need to tell them before you're comfortable. Since you do work in a medical office, another consideration to take into account is if you are around X-ray equipment. If you are, you need to tell them immediately since you can't be anymore.

I think you can tell your boss whenever your comfortable 😊 maybe around the same time you're telling your coworkers? If you wait until after you tell all of your coworkers and it gets back to your boss, as long as you tell him/her yourself eventually, I don't think they'll mind.

I told my boss at 7 weeks because of my morning sickness 😔 I work for a very large company (like 400+ employees) and I work full time so I wanted to let him know why I was missing so many days. He's been totally understanding so it's been good. I'm due in February so now just counting down the weeks until maternity leave 🙈🙏🏽
