blessed
My due date was 10/28 but my little one had no intention on coming out . I was dilated and effaced 0 at my appointment while I was 40+3 & scheduled an induction for the next morning at 6 a.m . Being a first time mom I was beyond afraid. I went in at 6 a.m and the doctor inserted an folley bulb to start opening up my completely closed cervix at 8 a.m . The procedure HURT , it was very painful . After having it inserted I was told not to get up and to lay on my back for 2 hours hoping it would make the process faster . After 2 hours I went and pee'd ; I was excited to be able to come back and lay down however I wanted ...BUT unfortunately a nap was not in the plans . After laying down the contractions kicked in I couldn't even lay still they hurt so bad . I was only dilated 2cm and the folley bulb doesn't fall out till 5/6 cm . In so much pain , but somewhat bearable I still decided not to wait any longer and got an epidural @ about 10:30 . EPIDURAL IS A LIFESAVER . I was able to relax and rest and then was at 4cm by the afternoon . All day and night hoping for progression , I seemed to be stuck at 4cm 😭 the next morning around 9 a.m my doctor was leaving and then told me the next doctor on call would probably set up an c section. C section was my ultimate fear and I told the dr I wanted to wait the day out no matter how long it took, hoping for progression . The next dr on call came in and still NO progression @ 4 p.m I then settled and signed papers for c section . I Was hysterical, and drowning myself in tears , They came and prepped me and I was simply waiting for nurses to take me to the OR . I then felt like I had to poop really bad and the dr came in and checked me one last time and BOOM by the grace of god I was 9cm dilated and ready to start pushing . I pushed for about 25 mins and my little man was born . The pushing process was easy and smooth thanks to the epidural I didn't feel a thing . I must say after the waiting and the killer contractions in the beginning and the c section scare ....things went pretty smooth for me. And I was blessed with an 8lb 1.1 ounces , 20 inch long boy named Kamden 💙💙💙
