Membrane stripping

I'm 38 weeks and 1 day just went to the doctor he did a sonogram and also checked my cervix I'm 1cm dilated and 75% effaced and baby's head is -2 station and he stripped my membranes today he told me he stretched it pretty good and I started having contractions right afterwards and cramping do y'all think I'll go into labor soon?? What are yalls experience with that??
