Tomorrow is the day I get induced!!!

However, I was originally scheduled to get induced at 39 weeks but my doctor fears that my baby is too small. Which is odd because I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I am 37 weeks and 6 days but my daughter is only weighing 5 pounds.

Has anyone else ever been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and their babies were small? Because I am terrified she'll have to be put in the NICU

I was just in this exact situation. I had GD and thought that would result in baby being big but instead they said she was me during small at 5lbs 9oz and they wanted to induce due to her size. I was induced at 39+2 and she came out at 6lbs 12 oz! She is perfect and we only had to stay at the hospital 24 hrs as her glucose levels were great as well! Try not to worry too much mama!
