starting castor oil , will update with changes
Okay so I am 40+3 and only 2 cm dialted after two membrane sweeps. I have been reading on how to induce labor at home naturally and so far we have tried everything from sex to the bouncing on a ball. So today I decide to try some castor oil. I took 2tbsp at 230pm and just Finally had a BM, ( not so bad considering that castor oil is a laxative) I have had some contractions but nothing that would be comsidered labor. Wish me luck I will keep you all updated if anything changes and if I go into labor hopefully this works. 🙏🏽
If it doesn't work I am set to be induced on Tuesday anyways but hoping things works
UPDATE- I got a few more contractions in the past few hours but nothing consistent yet, it has been 6 hrs and I just took another 2tbsp so we will see how the night goes
UPDATE-still nothing and no frequent contractions yet just irregular ones. It is now midnight and I won't take anymore for today will continue tomorrow and if nothing will stop there. I will keep you updated
UPDATE-it's now 3am and had a second BM and to honest it was horrible but I am having some contractions and hopefully they get more intense and frequent
UPDATE- ohmygosh I had the worse night ever I had such bad contractions especially on my back , nothing like I have ever felt before. I am trying to labor at home as long as possible if they get even worse I will be calling the l&d triage ( I didn't call them last night or go to the hospital because they were not 2-4 min apart)
