not sure about specifically colic, but for us, our son had severe reflux and we had him held upright for 30 minutes after each meal. and the Fisher Price snug a puppy swing worked wonders for naps and for keeping him in a inclined position. unfortunately it is a little hard to transition out of the swing as he got older. he is 10 months old and we just disassembled and put the swing in the attic this week.

I also thought I had a colicky baby. But like Jac, my little one had severe acid reflux that caused her to cry constantly, stop eating, and only wanted to be held upright. Try elevating the head of whatever the baby sleeps in at night, pace feed if bottle feeding, hold upright for 30 minutes after feeding. Also, speak to your doctor about the colic symptoms.

I've included some symptoms of reflux for you. If any of these sound familiar, talk to the pediatrician about medication.
