Skipping your period with bc pills?

Question

Hey ladies! I'm going on vacation soon and I'm supposed to get my period during it. I'm currently on the pill and was wondering if any of you ladies have skipped your periods by skipping the sugar pill week and moving straight to a new pack. Let me know if it worked and how it went! I don't want to screw anything up or end up with bad cramps when I do get my period again 😩

i've done it n it's completely fine, u just don't have a period. i didn't get any side effects.

Ive never done it as my periods 2 days and very light so i find no need to but my friend has and everytime she does it she ends up bleeding for most of the next month... my sister also tried it and it skipped her period but made her very emotional because she didnt get a break from the hormones then her next period was absolute hell which is another reason i dont want to skip the placebo week lol but ive heard some people do it just fine and have no issues

I do this pretty much every other month. I hate having periods and I have a way out with my pills. I take advantage of it whenever I can 😎

You don't need to have a period every month, especially if you're on birth control anyway. You *might* get some spotting but you should be fine, especially if you've already had a period whilst on birth control. The reason you have periods is to shed the lining of your uterus because you didn't get pregnant. Birth control thins the lining anyway, so you don't need a period to shed it. You can go years without having a period on birth control and be perfectly fine.
