do the doctors test you for everything after they do blood work?

Okay so I just did blood work Thursday. And they called me today and said I had an std ( took care of it) but I was wondering did they do testing for other stds like hiv/aids , herpes . Bc I see now ppl that are close to home meaning around my neighborhood has gotten herpes and I'm just nervous even though I get tested all the time but I don't think for that . The doctor said everything else was cool and now I have questions but at that time I was just mad so I was ready to get off the phone.
