Mirena and pregnancy?

I got my IUD put in early June and have had the period and all but I went 2 months without it and now I'm very lightly spotting, and I've thrown up almost every morning the past week. AND to top it I had unprotected sex numerous times this month, and he came inside of me everytime.  Should I be worried about being pregnant?

I experienced the same symptoms and it was just side effects of the IUD. As long as you can still feel the strings you should be ok. I absolutely cannot stand all of the side effects and am getting mine removed soon.

I had a chemical pregnancy which is a very early miscarriage last April. If you take prescription pharmaceuticals, ask your doctor about any possible interaction as they can sometimes interfere with the hormones in your birth control in any hormonal birth control thus making hormonal birth control ineffective. I was forced into non hormonal methods and currently have a paraguard. Most likely if you are indeed pregnant, it will result in an unviable pregnancy as the device and the hormones in general will naturally terminate sadly. Miscarriage is painful and often sad. However have a doctor determine your HCG levels in an urgent care if you're immediately concerned, this can be done in blood or urine.

Go to your doctor. If you think your IUD has moved or fallen out check for your strings, if you can't feel your strings get to your doctor ASAP, and if your doctor can't see you within the next couple of days, go to urgent care. This is likely just a side effect but better safe than sorry if your IUD strings aren't felt.
