VBAC?

Question

I have a question for VBAC mommies.
Why are they considered higher risk? Is it from the scaring in uterus? What makes them cost more according to hospital? What makes them so dangerous?

I DO NOT MEAN THIS IN A RUDE WAY!! I AM CURIOUS! I am a FTM and have never had either. I just was reading over papers from the doctor and they said they carry higher risks than any other delivery and cost about a grand more than any other way.

The risk of uterine rupture is less than 1% for most women. As far as cost I can't tell you. I live in Canada and have never seen a medical bill.

Hope you never have to deal with vbacs. This is my 3rd child after 2 sections and im constantly fighting for the right to attempt a natural delivery with drs. One was breech one was very small this one appears to be cooperating lol.

They are actually less risky than a repeat c section, it's just easier and more convenient for Dr's to do a repeat instead of vbac
