first apartment now what..???

Okay so I first want to start off with how my boyfriend of 3 years and I got our first apartment and we are moving in January 1st ! I'm so excited and so pumped and have a million mixed emotions but now I keep wondering what is happening next, and what I mean by that is when we get engaged.?? I know it's coming soon for sure everyone around us keeps asking but I'm nervous that maybe if it does happen it happens to quickly ? I want to get engaged and so does he but I'm worried that maybe we would be rushing..does anyone else have or had this problem ? I need help..
