Can I treat a yeast infection myself?

I feel like I am starting to get a yeast infection or I already have one. I am not comfortable with asking my mom to get me a treatment kit or even using one because I cant put anything inside myself. Can I do anything at home by myself? Please help!

Try the hot towel treatment it works like a charm. Drink ALOT of water to flush out the bacteria. Do not use toilet paper to wipe. sorry if this is tmi for anymore but instead Of wiping just pour a cup of cold water on your vag over the toilet. Also take cranberry pills same time everyday. If that doesn't help you need to be on antibiotics for 2 weeks or just go to Cvs and get suppositorys the are AMAZING trust me. Good luck to you Hun<333

I've gotten it a few times after being on antibiotics and never did anything to treat it. It went away within coming couple to few days

There's nothing embarrassing about asking your mom to get you medicine for a yeast infection. You don't wanna let it go and have it get worse. Every woman will get a yeast infection at some point in her life. I have no doubt that your mom has had them, too. I had such a bad yeast infection one time in high school that it actually started spreading towards my ass ( TMI, sorry 😖) over the counter monistat didn't work and I had to make an emergency appointment with my gyno to get prescription medicine. Ending up needing a cream and an antibiotic pill. My mom took me and there was absolutely nothing embarrassing about it.

If you're not willing to take the treatment it will be an absolute terror. The itching will drive you crazy. The only thing I can tell you to somewhat post pone or stop it would be to eat yogurt, it contains a healthy bacteria that can help stop it. Also water is always your friend so lots of water. However, sometimes the treatment is all you can do.

If you aren't pregnant dip a tampon in hydrogen peroxide and leave it on for a few hours. Repeat if you have too. You could also do it with plain yogurt. Works like a charm! That's how I get rid of mine.
