"Surprise" pregnancies?

Question

I know of someone who deceived her boyfriend and secretly got pregnant on purpose. It makes me wonder, have any of you known someone to get pregnant or get their SO pregnant on purpose (or has it happened to you)?? It's widely just accepted that it's a crazy thing to do yet I've heard so many stories of people doing this.

DISCLAIMER I am NOT talking about myself here, just had to put that out there. Genuinely curious how common this actually is.

I don't know how well this goes your question but my husband and I had 4 miscarriages and he then decided he no longer wanted to try he was happy with no baby because it was so hard to go thru. Well I "agreed" and told him I would get in birth control so we wouldn't have to go thru another miscarriage. I lied. I didn't get on birth control, I tried even harder to get pregnant (without him knowing) I'm now 32 weeks along with our first baby! He's thrilled tho :) so it worked out great!

One of my friends went off birth control and got pregnant knowing her husband did not want another kid at the time (they already had 2). They were already struggling, so he didn't feel they were ready for a third. One of them is now fixed so there are no more "surprises"

A girl I knew of did it. My best friend was pregnant to her husband and turned out he was having a affair as the mistress purposely got pregnant to prove he was having an affair on my best friend the mistress told my best friend everything while she was in labour and DNA tests proved it

I didn't purposely get pregnant but it was most definitely a surprise. My boyfriend and I had only been dating for 8 weeks when we found out I was knocked up.
