I'm Pregnant... Now what? UK

Question

So I've found out I'm Pregnant, and I called my Docters surgery, to which they told me I need to contact a
Midwife. How the hell do I do that? I called my local sexual health clinic and they told me I need to see my GP first, and they put book me an appointment.

Has anyone had any problems like this? I have no idea what to do from here?

I'm in Essex and I was told to contact the midwife unit at the hospital so I just called the hospital and asked to be put through to that department. I'm 6 weeks 2 days and I have my booking appointment at 9 weeks and then scan at 12 weeks x

I was in Cardiff when i found out i was preggo. I went to nearby surgery where i was registered and had an appointment with one of the gp. And later they gave me a form to fill up. I filled it with a valid phone number and submitted it to the receptionist. They gave me a booklet to be filled by me and give it to the midwife when i have an appointment with her. She said to me that midwife will call me within a week of time. And yes she called me and booked an appointment 4 days later and she asked me to come to the university hospital wales. She gave me all the advices. But now i'm in India with family. Came here for my delivery. Currently 39+2 weeks.

My gp has a midwife that comes to the surgery once a week. Iv booked in to see her for my booking in appointment this Thursday

My midwife is in a children's sure start, can normally find you're local on online and ring up, my doctor has nothing to do with my pregnancy apart from if I'm not well, I a midwife where as some people just see a doctor
