At 4:30pm on Friday November 11th I got a phone call from my doctor telling me that my labs came back abnormal and she wanted me at the hospital that night for induction. When I got to the hospital I learned that there was a dangerous amount of protein in my urine. At 7:00pm I got my first round of cervidil. Around 8am on Saturday November 12th (the next morning) my water broke and the contractions started every 5-7 minutes by noon they were full contractions 1-3 minutes apart at 2pm the doctor came in and checked my dilation and I was at a 5. I decided it was time to get the epidural as the contractions were getting stronger and more frequent. After reviving the epidural the doctor turned up the pitocin and came back to check my dilation at 9pm Saturday night and I was still only at a 5. After 13 hours of active labor I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever have my daughter. The nurse came in around midnight to check my dilation and blood pressure I was still only 5cm dilated and my BO was 168/110 it was at that time they began the prep for a c-section. At 2:20am on Sunday November 13th my perfect princess was born weighing 7 pounds 12.3 ounces and 19.5 inches long. She looks just like her daddy. I couldn't be more in love if I tried 😍
