Coincidence or can baby tell? Baby movement

I've noticed lately that my baby will move more when my belly is covered my a blanket, especially when I'm on my side. He will be wiggling all around and I'll take the blanket off to try to see my belly moving and he immediately stops. When I put my blanket back on he starts again. It's like a game. Can he tell the warmth/light or is it just a coincidence?

Mine did exactly the same and yes they can see light changes. Mine prefers the dark for wiggles then when I want to see him he stops. Cheeky thing! He did respond to my partners voice though too. Was silent all night then my partner got home and started talking and he started wiggling like crazy 😜 love it! Xxx

Fascinating!! How many weeks? They have such little quirks and reactions. I'm 14 weeks and had a 3D ultra sound a couple days ago. The tech wanted him to move, so she gave me some cold orange juice. I was thinking, "There's no way it will travel to him that quickly." But sure enough, in the next five minutes, he was wiggling away. My baby is measuring a little ahead, and I've been able to feel him wiggling since 13 weeks.
