Updated:What did you get at the hospital for baby?

Question

I dont remember getting anything at the hospital to take home or whatever. I was told by the hospital to bring about 40 diapers and a take home outfit of course with a car seat. 
I see all these moms saying they got all this stuff and its great. What did you get?
Also if you hot.a bunch of stuff where do you live? Maybe that has a factor.

I live in quebec canada. My hospital stay is free. Do you have to pay for your hospital stay? Maybe this is why you moms seem to get much more than i did?

They told u to bring diapers? My hospital told me to bring outfits 2-3 that don't rub near belly button and car seat. I plan on taking full advantage of their stock of diapers and freebies :)

Agree we didn't need anything except a going home outfit & anything else we wanted the baby to wear. They supplied diapers, wipes, pacifiers, nose asperator. And then with my son they supplied Vaseline & the gauze for his circumcision. The nurses told us to empty out all the drawers bc they can't reuse once something has been opened. Also supplied swaddle blankets.

With my daughter 7 years ago,  they provided diapers and wipes, a hat, shirt, receiving blanket, small bin with nasal aspirator and comb, and two pacifiers... also formula if you were using it.  They also gave me a free bag from similac with samples and coupons.

For me, they provided those mesh undies and pads, as well as hygiene stuff- soap, lotion, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush n comb... extra pads to go home.

I live in Pennsylvania, United States. I only paid my copay in the beginning of the pregnancy, which was $20. The only additional cost was $5 at the hospital for cable.

They supplied one (small) packet of nappies, a packet of maternity pads, a sample pack of 8 (!!!) wipes, and she got to wear their singlets and dresses & use their blankets but we had to bring our own to take her home in.

Better ask! I've heard a wide range of supplies are provided by the hospital, but it varies a lot.
