Discharge after a miscarriage

I lost my first baby two weeks ago yesterday, oct.30th, at 12 weeks. The bleeding is finished but I am now having some clear yellowish discharge and it kind of smells weird, not really a horribly bad smell just not very good. I also still have some light soreness/crampy feelings on and off, but mostly in the evening. I am just really hoping these are not signs of infection, anyone else had these symptoms? I see my doctor in a week but not sure if I should wait that long or call and get an earlier appointment?
