Getting a new phone over a cracked screen?

Question

Would you get a new phone over a cracked screen. My samsung galaxy screen got cracked along the whole top by the camera and sensors. It looks so ugly but ide have to pay 175 for a new phone insurance deductible and im budgeting for my new arrival. So it would be instead lets say of some other not must have but would want. Like a new car seat to make my stroller a travel system. Even tho i have a car seat that my other baby used (they will be irish twins) and its still in great condition no accidents etc. My boy only outgrew it a few months ago.

I've got insurance I would get it repaired once you leave the screen cracked they often go from bad to worse anyway . Most of the technology is connected to the screen with a touchscreen

I would go ahead & get a new phone, or repair the old phone, cuz you know you're gonna be taking thousands of pictures of your new little one with your phone. & you wanna be able to see your pix!!😄

If it's just the screen you can usually get it fixed at one of those mall kiosks for like $40.

I would either get anew one thru the phone company or find a used one on a private sale.  I've done both before sometimes you can get a good used one cheaper than the deductible for the insurance

I would repair the screen and then sell that phone and put it toward the new one if you really want a new one and depending what carrier you have and what you owe, you may profit from it. I did that for my upgrade last time. As soon as I took my case off I freaking dropped it screendown. Replaced the screen for $125, sold the phone for $300 (with a disclaimer that the screen was just replaced by a reputable place).

I wouldn't. I cracked my galaxy s4 a few years ago on the screen and also the camera. The phone still worked, so I didn't think it was worth the money to get a whole new phone.
