Heparin injections...anyone?

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant after two losses. (So excited!) Found out I may have anti phospholipid syndrome so my doc has me taking baby aspirin and injecting 40mg of heparin each day. I'm getting TERRIBLE bruises from the injections. Wondering if anyone else is going through this? Any tips? Thanks!!

Just read that I should NOT be pushing the air bubble out before I inject. I live in India and sometimes have a communication challenge with the nurses :) I could have sworn she told me to let the air out. Any thoughts on this??

I am currently 11 weeks 6 days pregnant after 2 losses I am on 40 ml of lovenox injections and baby aspirin. I was told to make sure there was a bubble from my nurse as that seems to make it hurt less. She also said to ice before and after (I do not, it makes it hurt more for me). I push it in slowly, on an angle, count to 10 and then remove the needle. I've been on the injections since 5 weeks, at first the bruises were terrible(looked like I was punched in the stomach) but now they are very small(size of the needle sometimes) so I think the longer you are ln them your body might get used to it.

Push the liquid in slower your probably doing it to fast ... give it a good gentle rub after aswell to disburs the liquid under your skin then pop a bit of ice on it after 10 mins or so if you can still feel it tingling this should then stop the bruising and it will stop it being sore x

I'm on Lovenox injections and daily aspirin (and progesterone) too after two losses. I'm 9 weeks so we are basically pregnancy soul mates ;). No secrets on the injections. I hate doing them and bruising if hit and miss. The one thing that has helped a bit is if I do it after a bath or hot shower and I think I'm more relaxed and everything seems a bit better.
