Pad and bleeding question for after birth?

Question

What kind of pads did you use after giving birth? What brand etc? And how long did you bleed for? I'm a 39w3d FTM and want to go out and get some to be prepared but I'm clueless as to what type and brands I should get! If you could drop a picture of the packaging or what they look like too that would be great to help me find them better ! Thanks :)
Oh and these are what I currently stocked up so far; has anyone else used these? Any good?:)

The really thick kind they give you at the hospital. Those thin pads won't last an hour.

I used thick seventh generation overnight pads. I tried cloth pads, but hated them. 
Also, in case anybody is dealing with tears, try putting some witch hazel on a few pads and sticking them in the freezer. I was skeptical, but they were awesome.

I used the always thin 8hr protection but the long ones. They held up pretty good. I also used them when I got my first perdiod which was super heavy and they worked as well. When i was in hospital I just used the mesh undies they supplied and their pads. I was not trying to ruin mine.

Those aren't going to do much for you. You will be bleeding a lot more than a light period and will want super thick pads so you don't have to change them every 15 mins.

I was sent a sample of Tena. It's for bladder leak but Inam pretty sure it will work. They are huge!

I brought home a bunch from the hospital and that got me through most of the heavy stuff and then I used the always in the pink wrappers I think they were long and thin. The wide ones were uncomfortable for me so once I needed less absorbency I switched to something thinner. 
I'd say I only really bled for a couple of weeks then it was more like spotting so total I needed them for like 4 weeks maybe less

At home I use always maxi pad. Just remember you haven't bled in nine months you may have some heavy bleeding or you may not. I'd at the least get a small pack of maxi pads and decide once you're home if the thins will work for you or not.

I didn't have very much bleeding at all after a few days, and for the few days I did bleed a lot I had the hospital pads. All I stocked up on was the purple always and they're WAAAY too big/absorbant since I barely bled after running out of the hospital pads. So I think your stock pile is awesome!

The first week after I used the purple always. But what you have will be good for after the first week!

The hospital will give you some while you're there. Nice and thick. I've heard people use depends instead.
