The baby last name?

If you and your SO weren't married but had a child together and he was actively in the child's life and y'all stayed together who's last name would you give the child?

I dislike hyphenated names, so I decided it would either be his or mine. Since we're together and plan to be married one day, we went with his on the promise that if we broke up, he'd allow me to change it if I chose to. I don't think I would though! He's such a great daddy to her, and is so involved in her life.

I hyphenated my last name when I got married. I would never suggest this to any one. I get mail mix ups. The pharmacy can never find my scripts. My drs appts have been wrong bc of it. Just keep it simple yall

Unless we were married the baby would have my last name. I have so many single friends that gave their children the father's last name only to have them end up being uninvolved in their life.

I would just give the baby the father's last name. I know it's important to my SO for his child to have his last name especially if we have a boy. I also got made fun of alot for my last name so his is the better option.

I'm married and I did not take my husbands last name. Out baby had a new last name created from both of ours. I will be changing my last name to the baby's last name. It's 2016... The baby doesn't always have to take the dad's name

My fiancé and I are expecting in May but not getting married until October. I'm keeping my last name and will likely hyphenate it. The baby will have his last name. We're debating about adding in my last name as a middle name.
