Pitocin induced labor without epidural?.

Wanting to hear feedback from women who's had pitocin induced labor and delivered successfully without any pain meds. Thanks!

Tried but no way. After max doses of pitocin for 2.5 days the contractions were unreal, no contractions to worse pain ever ( and I have high pain tolerance, been through multiple surgeries, etc) doc advised due to pain making BP worse, it was best for baby to have epidural.

I was induced with it and I said I wouldn't have pain meds but quickly changed my mind, I'm praying I don't have to be induced this time around. Good luck!

I was induced with Pitocin because of mild preeclampsia. I was so disappointed because I wanted to have a completely natural birth. I stuck it out for 6 hours of agonizing pain that took over my entire body. My midwife felt it would be best for me to get an epidural because my body was tmso tense due to the pain and it was preventing progress and causing my cervix to get puffy and swollen. So, after crying for 15 minutes because I was so upset about having to get the epidural, I got it and my son was born 2 hours later. My body was able to relax and it all worked out. I'm hoping to give the all natural birth another try this time. I can't do the Pitocin again. Or being hooked up to all kinda crap and being constriced to my bed. I wish you all the best!

Pitocin is going to make your contractions nearly unbearable. I will be refusing pitocin at all cost.

I did but I'm telling you I was miserable. This time around I'm letting my body do its thing and letting myself go into labor naturally. The baby will come when he or she is ready.

Pitocin made me miserable!!! After 10 hours caved in and got epidural at 7cm. I couldn't do it anymore. I was dying from 3cm on. Oh I was overdue too so it was super forced(like 38/39 weeks or something)

Now with my second I waited it out til 41+2 and was walking about at a 3-4 for days with totally manageable pain(more like period cramps) finally dr wanted to induce me but I said I would only let them break my water....no pitocin. BEST DECISION EVER! Never got an epidural that time and my labor was literally 1/3 of the time 3hr15!

I wish i had a success, i ended up with a c section for unrelated issues. Pitocin causes the uterus to contract more intensely so definitely think about pain management your open to if you have you have to be induced.

I was induced with my son at 8am. I started having contractions at around noon. Shortly after contractions started I got a very low dose of Fentanyl. I only received that one dose before I became 10cm at 5pm. I didn't push for long before having my son at 5:22pm. Yes there was pain but it wasn't too terrible and I forgot all about it once I was able to push. I know my labor isn't necessarily a "normal" induction but it wasn't as bad as the horror stories that I heard and read about.

I did it!!! my water broke 6 hours later I still was not having any contractions so after going through three and a  half bags of pitocin and used no pain meds whatsoever. I  Had a successful vaginal delivery I will probably do it again

I had to have it with my second and yes it makes them stronger but I still didn't have any kind of pain meds, 2 hours 2 mins was all it took from the start to the end
